In the editorial office of the show Fiks Fare, 43-year-old Klodjan Gjikdhima complained, saying that he had been arrested and held hostage for several weeks, even though he had served his sentence. He claimed that at the end of September 2025, some civilian police officers kicked in the door of his apartment in the Fresku area of Tirana, where he lives with his pregnant wife, who is in her 9th month.
The police asked him if he had any weapons in the apartment, as they escorted him without explaining the reason to the Escort Rooms, near Prison 302 in Tirana. He further claims that he was held in those Rooms for several days, did not appear in court for security measures, and was then transferred to the Kosovo Prison in Lushnje.
"I don't know why they arrested me, or rather held me hostage. I was sentenced on July 10, 2023 by the Tirana Court of First Instance and the decision was upheld on February 29, 2024 by the Court of Appeal. I was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison. I was then released on May 14, 2024 from the Burrel Penitentiary Institution, 'with time served'," he adds.
Fiks Fare provided the release letter, which contains the entire progress of serving the sentence, the reductions and benefits I had in prison. That letter states "time served", and they even released him in the afternoon, the hour at which they arrested him.
Klodjani says that only in prison did he learn that he had been arrested for the same sentence that he had served. "They arrested me at the end of September 2025, by force in the apartment, in front of the pregnant woman. They broke down the door and civilians came. They kept me in a cell for several weeks and released me on October 17, 2025 from the Lushnje Penitentiary, after I had served my sentence," he says.
The second release order, dated October 17, states that "Klodjan Gjikdhima has served his sentence and was released in May 2024."
But who is responsible? "They took me hostage, but if something had happened to my wife, who is responsible?" he says.
The citizen calls the officer Taulant Nako who is handling his case. He tells him why he was arrested, when he had already served his sentence and was already innocent. The officer tells him that “it’s great that you were found innocent”, while the citizen tells him that it was for the same sentence he had served. “Why are you holding me accountable, the prosecutor issued the arrest warrant” the officer tells him.
Fiks Fare inquired at the Lushnje Penitentiary, where we learned that the order for the second release, the one dated October 17, came from the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.
Fiksi contacted the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, which wrote in response that, after verifying the practice, it turns out that on March 1, 2024, the summary of the decision was sent by the Appeals Prosecutor's Office, which was unfounded. Then, the execution order was issued on March 8, a decision that was also sent to the General Directorate of Prisons, where Gjikdhima was in the cell.
Then, on September 2, 2025, the Tirana Court made the criminal verdict, now declassified, available. Two days later, the execution order was issued.
The Tirana Prosecutor's Office writes that, as mentioned above, the same order has been issued again and has been addressed to the same institutions (Tirana Local Police Directorate, General Directorate of Prisons).
In response, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office writes that on October 2, Klodjan was detained again, to serve the same sentence he had already completed. He was held until October 7 in the Security Block.
Surprisingly, the indictment writes that during these days, there has been no request from the family, Klodjani or from the officers who carried out the arrest regarding the claims for the execution of the sentence. Later, he was accepted by the Lushnje Prison! In this prison he presented the claims. On October 13, 2025, the Lushnje Prison requested the Tirana Prosecutor's Office to clarify the detention.
The prosecution took its time and on October 17, 2025, this accusation wrote to the prison that; if it turns out that the sentence has been served and if we are faced with this situation, to act according to legal provisions. But on the 17th, he was released from Lushnja prison!
Fiksi also asked the Tirana Prosecutor's Office about the method of forcible arrest.
According to her, the responsibility for the manner of execution of court decisions, apartment searches, etc. is the competence of the State Police and not of our institution, and we are not responsible for operational actions.
But who is responsible for this unjust prison?!
The Tirana Prosecutor's Office writes that "all actions that occurred were carried out in accordance with the legislation." /Taken from Top Channel
