After the closure of a number of social media accounts that had supported the protest, DP leader Sali Berisha has also reacted. He accuses Rama of censorship.
"Rama is proving every day how scared he is of the protests. Despite the attacks, the propaganda to relativize him, the pressure and violence exerted by the police to intimidate the protesters, citizens continue to come out every night to the square and demand his removal.
And precisely because the protest has become the topic of discussion at every table, a source of hope for thousands of Albanians at home and abroad, and has dominated social media algorithms, Rama has chosen to follow the manual of his political fathers: censorship.
Since yesterday evening, around 200 accounts of protesters and portals that supported the protest have been blocked.
"This is the clearest evidence that Rama is ready to do everything to quell the protest. But what he has not yet understood is that the protesters do not give up, do not get scared and do not retreat. They will be there every night, in the square, until he leaves," Berisha writes. ©LAPSI.al
