
A man in Staten Island, New York, was struck by lightning as he left his home during a storm. According to US media, Thomas Fami was struck by lightning as he was leaving his home to go to a scheduled dentist appointment. A security camera captured the moment the lightning struck him.
"As soon as the lightning struck me, the first sensations I felt throughout my body were completely new. Numbness, tingling, pain, a burning sensation everywhere," he said after the incident.

Thomas Fahmy says he is grateful to be alive and went to church on Sunday to thank God for giving him another chance.

Although he spent the night in the hospital, Fami did not suffer any burns.
"No burns. I did some tests on my whole body and no burns were found. On Sunday, I went to church to thank God," Fami concluded, revealing that a day after the incident, he bought a "Mega Millions" lottery ticket. ©LAPSI.al
