The Albanian Football Federation has reacted after incidents that occurred after the end of the Elbasani-Vllaznia match, where, according to it, Shkodran president Alban Xhaferri physically hit one of the match assistants.
The match between Elbasan and Vllaznia ended 1-1. Murataj gave the Shkodran team the lead first, while Hebaj equalized. In the end, the Red and Blues had 2 goals disallowed for illegal positions, which created controversy and chaos after the end of the match.
The Albanian Football Association (AFH) says that violence against referees and officials constitutes a serious violation of the integrity of sport.
"Club managers must be an example of correctness and respect towards the opponent, referees and football institutions. The AFF will resolutely protect referees and any official from violence, threats or pressure. Disciplinary bodies will proceed to make decisions. In Albanian football there cannot and will be no tolerance for such acts." - declares the AFF.
Immediately after this stance of the Albanian Football Association, the Vllaznia football club also reacted, saying that this affects the integrity of the disciplinary bodies. The Shkodran team also raised claims about the referees' decisions.
"FSHF presents the accusation as a fait accompli before a decision is made by examining the facts. We condemn violence in football. But we want to announce that the match with Elbasan took place in an unusual climate. According to the regulations, there should not have been any fans in this match, but the stands were full. We do not ask for favors from the referees, but only justice" - the Shkodran club's response states. ©LAPSI.al
