The punch to the referee is punished, but Xhaferri throws it away in peace: Martini did not hit, but suffered badly

The punch to the referee is punished, but Xhaferri throws it away in peace:

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Albanian Football Association (AFHA) was perhaps in a difficult position, having to make a decision on the hand raised towards the match officials, even though that of Vllaznia president Alban Xhaferri was a cause-and-effect reaction to the treatment by the "black jackets" of the Shkodran club, not only in the Elbasan match. And so, in order not to aggravate the hand by creating an even bigger problem than the current one, the Disciplinary Committee has decided to punish the number 1 of the red and blue club with a 15-match suspension.

Very little of that one year that was rumored and that was somewhere written in the regulations, and even easier than the measures that were taken when Kamza was expelled from the championship, although the case had essential changes. Xhaferri, "for attacking match officials, based on article 14/1/l of the KDE, is punished with 15 (fifteen) matches suspension from activities and the official is prohibited from entering all stadiums during the development of sports activities organized by the FSHF, until the end of the punishment".

Edi Martini suffered worse, although the Shkodran technician did not raise his fist at anyone, but only his fingers pointing at the VAR sign. Surely, the fact that Martini often challenges the referees has exhausted the patience of the Commission, penalizing him with 6 matches "for violating the basic rules of good conduct and unsportsmanlike behavior towards match officials."

Decision No. 3 of the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Albanian Football Association dated 02.09.2026

AF Elbasani, for failure to fulfill its responsibilities regarding order and security, for the incidents that occurred after the end of the match, both inside and near the stadium, based on articles 8/1 and 17/1 of the KDE, is fined 100,000 (one hundred thousand) lek.

KF Vllaznia official, Alban Xhaferi, for attacking match officials, based on article 14/1/l of the KDE, is sentenced to 15 (fifteen) match suspension from activities.

In accordance with Article 6/2/c of the KDE, the official is prohibited from entering all stadiums during sporting events organized by the Albanian Football Association (AFHA), until the end of the sentence.

KF Vllaznia official, Edi Martini, for violating the basic rules of good conduct and unsportsmanlike behavior towards match officials, based on articles 13/2 and 14/1/j of the KDE, is punished with a 6 (six) match suspension from activities.

KF Vllaznia official, Elis Dervishaj, for unsportsmanlike behavior towards match officials, based on article 14/1/j of the KDE, is sentenced to 4 (four) matches of suspension from activities.

FC Dinamo City official, Ilir Daja, for protesting against the decisions of the match officials, based on article 14/1/c of the KDE, is sentenced to 2 (two) matches suspension from activities.

Acceptance of the request of FK Partizani player, Human Lancaster Rowan, for the conversion of the remaining part of the sentence, based on Article 75 of the Code of Discipline and Ethics.

Rejection of the request of the Delvina Football Club, regarding the remission of the penalty for holding matches without spectators, as unfounded in the Code of Discipline and Ethics.

The rejection of the request of KF Iliria player Brajan Selmani, as unfounded in the Code of Discipline and Ethics.

The rejection of the request of KF Oriku player, Bruno Telushi, as unfounded in the Code of Discipline and Ethics.

An appeal against the decision is allowed within 3 (three) days before the Appeals Committee.

A decisive moment for Albania

It is the first time that Albanians feel they can shape the national debate without waiting for political parties to take the lead. Experience teaches us that democracy depends not only on elections, but also on active citizenship among them.

Greece lowers food prices, Rama: We will not intervene, the "system" does not allow us

The Greek government has reduced the prices of more than 1,700 products through an agreement with industry, suppliers and supermarkets; on the other hand, the Albanian government says it cannot intervene in prices because the "system" forbids it and promises only "transparency", at a time when Albanians are paying more for food than the European Union average and with price increases much higher than their neighbors.
