An old story suddenly returns to the spotlight. Maxi López has recounted on television some very special episodes experienced during the past period in Russia and Wanda Nara has reacted strongly on social networks. The former footballer, however, has not remained silent and has given a very different version of the facts.
Maxi Lopez's story
Invited to PH: Podemos Hablar, a well-known Argentine television program hosted by Andy Kusnetzoff, Maxi López recalled some moments of his experience in Russia, where he played in 2007 and 2008 with the FK Moscow jersey.
Speaking about his life off the field, the former striker revealed that he had attended private parties organized by a friend. The story immediately attracted the public's attention for the uniqueness of the environments described and for some episodes that were clearly out of the ordinary: "Everything happened. There were dominants, there was everything. Both for women and men. You went underground, you entered and an incredible world opened up. A girl liked violence and practiced it, when she shocked me... She hit me hard. The moment she started biting, scratching, I thought 'Well, it's over'...".
The problem began when those statements reached Wanda Nara, who publicly recalled a crucial detail: according to her version, López had arrived in Russia when the two of them were already married.
Wanda Nara's response
Wanda's reaction came via Instagram Stories, with the usual ironic tone, but also with a very clear message. The Argentine wrote that she had only just discovered some details of her ex-husband's life and referred to the fact that, according to her, López was in Russia during their marriage.
Nara also implied that the episodes recounted by the former footballer had not been isolated, linking them to the betrayals that had already constituted one of the most turbulent chapters of their relationship.
Despite the provocative tone, Wanda also emphasized that today the relationship with López is very different: after the separation, the two have maintained a family bond, mainly because of their three children.
Maxi Lopez overturns the version
At this point came the second part of the story. López decided to respond directly to Wanda, clarifying that the episodes narrated on television had happened before they knew each other. The former striker's message was clear: according to his version, when those experiences occurred, Wanda was not yet part of his life and, above all, they were not married. López thus fundamentally opposed the interpretation given by his ex-wife.
The most significant sentence of López's response is related precisely to the chronology of events. The former footballer has called for the past not to be changed based on the circumstances of the present, implying that his version of the facts is very different from that presented by Wanda.
At the same time, however, López has chosen not to turn this clash into another public fight. He has explained that he does not want to go into the details of his private life out of respect for his children and has avoided further fueling the controversy.
A new page in the Wanda-Maxi story
The incident inevitably brings back into focus one of the most talked-about relationships in Argentine showbiz. López and Wanda split after years of intense tension and Nara's subsequent relationship with Mauro Icardi, but recently they seemed to have found a completely different balance.
López himself has publicly stated several times that he has chosen to move on, and today the two maintain a relationship that is mainly related to family. This new controversy, born almost by chance from a television interview, has nevertheless reopened (perhaps) old wounds. Or, more likely, he just wanted to create a little "hype"...
