Prime Minister Edi Rama has inspected the stadium being built where world-famous singer Kanye West will perform.
During the inspection, he admitted that 4 million euros were spent on the concert, but called it an economic investment for tourism. Rama also took aim at the protesters, calling them "ravens and crows" who, according to him, slandered that tens of millions of euros were spent on the YE concert.
"This is an event organized entirely by a private group. Albanian, German, Turkish partners who have taken over this entire colossal enterprise. The Albanian state was forced to intervene only yesterday to give, not tens of millions of euros as the crows and ravens of the boulevard say, but 4 million so that we can guarantee that those thousands of people who have bought tickets from Europe, from America, from Australia, 80 countries and are more than those who bought tickets and came for the Conference League final. If this event were to remain unrealized, it would be a lost economic opportunity for the capital. Those thousands of people bring an immediate economic impact but also step by step. That Conference League final brought us a boom in tourists from the Netherlands and Italy. These are events, because the world is not stupid who organize such events that require an expense, but they are investments for another Albania that does not stop, those who do not want to jump up, "said Rama.
