
Renowned American economics professor Steve Hanke has reacted to the protests in Albania. According to him, thousands of citizens have taken to the streets of Tirana for the 37th consecutive day.
In a post on the social network X, accompanied by a video of the protest from 'News24', the professor of applied economics at Johns Hopkins University writes that for the 37th day in a row, thousands of Albanians have taken to the streets of Tirana to protest.
"For the 37th day, thousands of Albanians are protesting in the streets of Tirana. They are protesting against projects supported by Prime Minister Rama. The time has come for Prime Minister Rama to take the exit door. The Flamingo Revolution has gained momentum," Hanke writes.
Hanke is one of the most renowned experts in the field of monetary policy and inflation. The 83-year-old was an economic advisor in the administration of former President Ronald Reagan and has advised various governments on economic reforms, including Albania in the early 1990s. /LAPSI.al
