The Ministry of Defense informs that during the last 24 hours, 34 fires have been reported in the country's territory, of which 5 remain active and 2 are under surveillance.
A total of 481 operational forces and 44 firefighting vehicles have been deployed to manage the situation. In support of local structures, 105 Armed Forces personnel, 2 firefighting vehicles, 3 helicopters and 1 AIR TRACTOR aircraft have also been deployed.
The active fires are concentrated in the Tirana and Dibër districts.
In Dajti Mountain, work continues after the reactivation of three fires, with the engagement of 25 firefighters/AZM and 20 members of the Albanian Armed Forces.
In the Dibër district, the outbreaks in Qafë i Helmës, Vajkal, Sllatinë and Komsi remain active.
61 forces are currently engaged in Vajkal, including 30 members of the Armed Forces, while 78 forces are operating in Sllatina; 25 members of the Armed Forces are also engaged in Komsi. According to the report, there is no danger to the inhabited areas in these hotbeds.
In Elbasan, the hotspots on Mali i Dardhës and Mali i Qukës are under surveillance and do not pose a risk to residential areas.
During yesterday, there were also significant interventions in Tërbac, Vranisht, Himara, where ground forces, 2 helicopters and 1 AIR TRACTOR were deployed, as well as in Xhyrë, Librazhd, where 1 AF helicopter also intervened; both outbreaks have been declared extinguished.
The National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC) continues to continuously monitor the situation throughout the country, in close coordination with prefectures, municipalities and all structures of the Civil Protection system.
Operational capacities remain engaged in the field and ready to intervene where the situation requires, with priority given to protecting the lives, homes and property of citizens.
