The anti-government protest enters its 94th day today. Citizens are expected to return to the streets again, while the main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. In addition to his departure, the protesters are also demanding a change in the political class and the creation of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate. According to them, this government should create the conditions for a new political and institutional process.
The list of demands also includes the repeal of several laws that, according to the protesters, violate the interests of citizens. Meanwhile, the organizers warn of a new phase of mobilization. They say that during September and October the protest will expand, while they have called for greater participation in the square. After more than three months of daily rallies, their message remains unchanged: the protest will continue until Edi Rama leaves the post of prime minister.
