The fire that broke out on Sunday in the forest massif with oak trees and shrubs in the village of Madhe, Ulza Administrative Unit, Mati Municipality, has gotten completely out of control. Due to the strong wind and dry vegetation, the fire has spread rapidly, also favored by the strong wind.
Despite the immediate intervention of the Fire Service, Forest Service, Civil Protection and the administration of the Mat Municipality, the flames have covered a considerable area.
The flames also passed this Monday in the villages of Madhesh, Trodhën and Lundre, burning even black pine stands. During today, a cow farm was endangered, as they were scattered by the smoke and some of them have not yet been found by the shepherds, while the flames even approached the houses. During two days there was also air intervention by a helicopter, but the large perimeter of the fire did not make it possible to isolate the flames.
Dozens of forces are on the ground, but the situation remains extremely difficult due to the rugged mountainous terrain and the lack of a road for firefighting vehicles.
Also, the fire in the forest massif of the village of Sllatinë in Dibër remains a worrying situation, as do the fires in the village of Vajkaj near Bulqiza and Qafë Helme. In Ballenjë in Martanesh, the fire was extinguished after it rained.
