Responding to the interest of journalists, Democratic leader Sali Berisha said during the press conference that he would go to Texas, to the Republican Party conference, for the mid-term elections.
Elda Menga, TCH: Mr. Berisha, in the weekend conversation, you warned that you are waiting for the documents to travel to the US. Did you collect your passport from the American embassy?
And also in the same conversation, you announced that you are working to set up meetings at the US State Department as well. Have you set up any important meetings?
Sali Berisha: No, let me clarify. The documents are at the American embassy and I have not booked any meetings.
I'm going, as you know, to Texas for the Republican Party conference for the midterm elections. I'm in a delegation from the International Democratic Union, a large delegation, which has been invited by the Republican Party, the main party in the IDU, to participate in this conference.
In addition, I have an invitation from a Republican institute.
Did you have any last-hour or last-minute notice of when you would receive your passport?
Sali Berisha: No, I had no notification, neither the hour nor the minutes.
