Two helicopters working to extinguish fires have crashed in Greece after colliding with each other. The incident occurred in the Psatha area of Attica.
The helicopters were rented from the fire department and each had a crew of two.
One of the helicopters crashed on a road, killing the Romanian pilot and his Greek co-pilot. A search and rescue operation was underway to find the second helicopter, which crashed in a wooded area.
Greek media report that the pilot and his assistant were rescued.
Authorities said they are investigating the incident, but it is suspected that human error was the cause. ©LAPSI.al
