Rama heads to Jala under strict security measures, the blow the protest dealt to

Whatever the fate of the protest on the boulevard, it has marked a great and undeniable achievement. Edi Rama will never be the same in terms of image and impact on people, especially young people.

He is no longer seen as a snobbish or cool leader, nor does he make you laugh with jokes, but as an old politician of the past, just like Sali Berisha and others. And yet, in this great despair, Edi Rama does not stop in his efforts to recover or reinvent himself.

If you once made fun of Monika Kryemadhi for the summer camp in Jalë and the manipulation of young people with paid beach days, clothes or other gifts, today you yourself are doing the same thing as the LSI 10 years ago.

This Saturday, the prime minister went to the Jala camp for a conversation with young people, mainly children of socialists who work in the administration or from among the ranks of SP militants. The meeting was hosted by Sara Bode, the director of the National Youth Agency, which Rama 'bought' a year ago from the DP youth forum.

With state funds, this agency has begun organizing a camp in Jalë, which serves as a political platform for the socialists and Edi Rama himself to spread propaganda. As the motorcade accompanying Prime Minister Edi Rama passed along the coastal road today, what was impressive were the increased security measures like never before.

Specifically, 2 police cars in front, 5 Ministry of Interior SUVs, 1 large black van and 4 other civilian vehicles. What need does Edi Rama have for so many security measures, one might rightly ask, as if he were the prime minister of a country at war?

Of course, he fears any possible attack or incident in public, an act that would make the rounds on social media and further encourage similar attacks by protesters.

This alone explains this long convoy of cars, police and guards guarding Edi Rama. Despite everything, Edi Rama's downfall is irreversible and the June protests, which are still ongoing, only accelerated his political end. Nothing will bring Edi Rama back to the way he was before. He knows this very well.  ©LAPSI.al

Andi Bushati: Why did Rama's campaign against oligarchs arouse fear?

The “Flamingo Revolution” shook society’s way of thinking. Today, being one of the people who benefits from the autocrat is no longer seen as an honorable man, but risks becoming a hated character. This was proven by the wave of reaction against the millionaires of Rama’s court.
