The Ombudsman, Endri Shabani, was present this Friday in Vlora to present the Ombudsman's Annual Report for 2025. Shabani also stopped to speak to the media, saying that the reason for the Ombudsman's presence in Vlora is to listen to the complaints and requests of citizens.
According to Shabani, in Vlora the requests are mainly about properties and their management. Shabani says that the citizens' complaints are related to the Cadastre and the Ombudsman will investigate every case related to abuse of office, alienation of properties and citizens' complaints.
Shabani emphasizes that the Ombudsman's duty is to protect the rights of citizens and be an intermediary to resolve their requests and complaints.
When asked by journalists, Shabani said that the Ombudsman cannot take any position on the protesters' demands. His duty is to identify cases where citizens' rights are violated or when institutions, such as the State Police, violate their operational responsibilities.
Meanwhile, regarding negative comments made on the profiles of businesses in the country, the Ombudsman, Endri Shabani, says that he does not have the right information, but if the right of citizens to free expression is violated, an investigation into the case will be launched and there will be an official reaction.
Together with the highest representatives of local government, as well as in the presence of citizens, the Ombudsman's Report for 2025 was presented in Vlora.
