A man suffered a serious but fortunately happy ending in a restaurant accident in Turkey when a piece of food got stuck in his throat while he was eating doner kebab. The incident, which was caught on security camera, took place in the Reyhanlil region of Hatay province.
As seen in the footage, the man, who was in the restaurant with his family, could not breathe as his children and wife tried to save him.
Fortunately, the restaurant owner realized the unexpected and performed the Heimlich maneuver, unblocking his customer's airway.

According to Turkish media, the owner, identified as Sami Sakin, had learned the Heimlich maneuver at school.
"The Heimlich maneuver immediately came to mind. After the third or fourth attempt, I managed to clear his airway and he returned to normal," Sakin said of the intervention that saved the client's life. ©LAPSI.al
