Former Police Officer Uljan Shpataraku has had his gun permit revoked, while authorities have also seized the weapons he was carrying with permission in his apartment.
Shpataraku, who was arrested after being caught driving the vehicle in which Ergys Agasi was also traveling, is accused of "supporting the perpetrator of the crime."
He was expelled from the State Police a few weeks ago, while procedures were also initiated against him to revoke the weapon permit he possessed due to his position.
During the procedures, it emerged that the former senior police officer was also carrying several private weapons in his apartment with permission. Specifically, these are 3 pistols, 2 shotguns and 2 rifles, which have already been seized.
Shpataraku has been described as one of the close associates of former police chief Ilir Proda.
Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether SPAK will expand its investigations into Shpataraku to verify his possible role in the criminal group allegedly led by Ergys Agasi. The latter was arrested during a coordinated operation between the BKH and the State Police.
