Ergys Agasi was transferred this morning from the security block to the Bradashesh detention center. He was placed under arrest in prison by the Special Court. Agasi is accused of being the leader of a criminal group operating within the AKSHI.
Agasi was arrested on August 26 in the Plepave area of Durrës, after about eight months of searching. At the time of his arrest, he was traveling in a vehicle driven by former police officer Uljan Shpataraku.
According to SPAK, Agasi is suspected of leading a structured criminal group that influenced AKSHI tenders through illegal competition and pressure. He is charged with, among other things, a structured criminal group, violation of equality in tenders, and illegal competition through violence.
The GJKKO left the security measure "prison arrest" in effect, while Agas's defense has announced that the decision will be appealed.
