Six years after the arrest of four former KLA leaders, the War Veterans Organization has organized a symbolic action in front of the European Union offices in Pristina.
The following inscriptions have been placed on the EU building: "Serbia massacred our people, the Special Court massacred our truth!" and "Europe, it's been 6 years since you betrayed Kosovo's trust in your justice!"
The chairman of OVL-UCK, Hysni Gucati, said that they took this action to express their anger and dissatisfaction with the Special Court, which he called unfair.
The veterans have emphasized once again that nothing was proven during the process for which the KLA leaders were accused.
They have also addressed the Association of Kosovo Municipalities with the request that the mayors, together with the municipal administrations, come out in front of the municipal buildings at the same time, to express solidarity.
The activity aimed to prove that citizens and organizations emerging from the war are not indifferent to the judicial process taking place in The Hague.
They have once again expressed disappointment after the return of the Law on Specialized Chambers, calling this development unacceptable.
The "Freedom Has a Name" platform has also addressed the European Parliament with requests, including the holding of a parliamentary hearing by the Parliament, regarding the respect for fundamental rights during the trial of former KLA leaders by the Specialized Chambers.
The four former KLA leaders, in the first instance of the court, have been sentenced to 81 years in prison.
