Jealousy takes the life of 36-year-old Bismarck: the footballer known as B10 was

A life dedicated to football was that of Bismarck, the 36-year-old footballer who lost his life overnight in circumstances that are still unclear in Brazil. The midfielder was killed after being shot several times in a bar in the Cidade Alta neighborhood, in Natal. Unfortunately, the efforts of the rescue teams and his transport to the hospital proved in vain, as doctors were unable to save the footballer, whom his teammates nicknamed B10. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that an athlete has lost his life in the South American country, where problems with public order and security are ongoing.

The injuries sustained in what may have been a fight that ended tragically were extremely serious. The first reconstructions of the event, published in Brazil, tell of an evening that ended badly. The tragedy is suspected to have been caused by a conflict with another person, still unidentified, due to jealousy.

According to information released by the Rio Grande do Norte Civil Police, Bismarck was in the bar with some friends. When the other person involved in the conflict returned to the bar armed, chaos erupted and the footballer, along with a second person, were shot several times. The murder investigation is ongoing, while investigators are trying to identify the perpetrator through security camera footage, in order to determine the motive for the crime.

Bismarck had played for several well-known clubs

This is a tragedy for all of Brazilian football, as Bismarck was a very well-known footballer, especially at the regional level, thanks to his experiences with the clubs Fortaleza, Santa Cruz, Vila Nova, Campinense, CSA, Globo FC, Treze, River-PI and Fluminense-PI.

His career also included a spell in Tunisia with Esperance. The experienced player was on the verge of embarking on a new adventure after signing with Olímpia, a club that had secured promotion to the Série A of the Maranhense championship. During his career, he had won the Brazilian Série D, the Copa do Nordeste and the Cearense championship three times, in addition to other national titles.

Shocked family, father: "I wanted him to play for ABC so the fans would chant his name"

Bismarck's family is in shock. His father, Ailton, in an interview with Inter TV Cabugi, tried to express all his pain. The footballer passed away leaving behind a great loss: he did not get to play for a club in his hometown. "I wanted him to play for ABC, so I could see the fans chanting his name," said the father. Bismarck left behind three children, aged 16, 7 and 3. Amidst the great pain, the father stated that the family hopes that those responsible for the murder will be found and arrested as soon as possible. "We hope that the police and justice will do their job. The sooner, the better. May God give comfort to the family."
