A cigarette left lit is suspected to have caused the fire that engulfed an apartment in the "Skënderbeg" neighborhood of Lezha this afternoon. According to the Police, the incident occurred at around 16:30 in the apartment of citizen AL. The flames caused material damage, while the intervention of firefighters made it possible to extinguish the fire.
Due to the smoke, some residents of the building showed signs of asphyxiation and were transported to the Lezha Regional Hospital. Their lives are out of danger.
