The situation has become tense again in Tirana. Some of the protesters have returned to the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, after they were earlier dispersed by the police. The officers have called on them to leave the area and free up space in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. Otherwise, the police have warned that they will impose fines on those who refuse to comply with the order.
The return of the protesters comes after several hours of clashes in the center of Tirana, where water cannons were used earlier and several escorts were carried out. However, part of the crowd has regrouped and returned to the boulevard, where the protest in front of the government building continues.
