The International Film Festival kicked off in Tirana on Thursday evening, an activity that had been missing in our country for 14 years. The initiative of the National Center of Cinematography has been welcomed, but there have been no shortage of blunders since the first night.
At the moment of awarding several career awards for names that have given Albanian film, it was seen that the organizers displayed on the screen the images of those receiving awards.
Thus, instead of the photo of the famous children's film director Xhanfise Keko, the screenwriter, poet and writer Natasha Lako was put. Lako herself reacted with a long post on social media where she did not hide her disappointment.
"This is how they have begun to write the history of Cinematography! Whatever they do tomorrow, obobo! My heart Xhanfise Keko. The organizers of this festival, including those at the QKK, I have the opportunity to tell you that they have not even come to see the latest documentary "Nikolla i zemres s' Tiranës" one of the most dignified works of recent years, in today's creativity of this genre. It is not their fault that they do not know me. They have a great obligation to honor you and you know how to forgive, but not on the shooting site. Our precious one" - writes Lako.
She strongly criticizes the CCK and the way the Festival was conceived.
"And here is this little scandal with my photo instead of your photo in such a ceremonial moment of honoring you, it comes as a gift to me to appeal to my husband, with whom I discussed before this incident, with the right of the film's author to withdraw the screening of the documentary film "RIKARD" from this festival, since from an interview with the producer, I accidentally found out that it is on the program.
"Ignoring the will of the film's author to decide whether or not to participate and with which of his works is also a scandalous phenomenon," she writes.
Lako's husband, actor and director Mevlan Shanaj, also reacted. He also says that he was not asked about the inclusion of his documentary film about Rikard Ljarje in the festival.
"But how is a film put on the program without asking the two main authors, the director and the screenwriter? "RIKARD" is not just a program title. It is a work directed by Mevlan Shanaj and written by Natasha Lako. As the author of many films, Rikardi rolled over from the grave. And he said to me: "Please, don't let the myth be lectured like this. Bad" Albania, with these arguments alone, clearly shows that it has no mechanisms for art and culture. SHAME!
