Banners with strong political messages and direct criticism of the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama have appeared during the 87th protest against misgovernment.
The protesters' messages focused on the rule of law and Albania's relationship with the European Union, through slogans such as "87, Europe begins with the rule of law" and "87, the EU demands standards."
Participants' criticisms were also directed at the prosecution through the banner, "Justice by order, SPAK in hibernation!", while the executive's latest initiative was also ironized with the message, "In your "mirror", only deception, on our boulevard, only courage!"
