The Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandrokovic, stated that Europe must strengthen security and the European pillar of NATO because the international order is changing, also warning that Serbia is arming itself with offensive weapons.
Jandrokovic stressed that it is important to strengthen the NATO pillar, because for decades Europe has lived with the feeling that America is always behind it, which is why Europe and individual countries have forgotten about their own security. He also warned that Serbia is arming itself not only with defensive, but also offensive weapons, and that the allies should know this.
"Serbia is arming itself not only with defensive weapons, but also with offensive, attacking weapons. And this should be told to our Western allies," he said. Jandrokovic added that Croatia should explain the situation in the region to the West, because new political elites often do not understand the area of the former Yugoslavia and do not even remember Slobodan Milosevic's Greater Serbia policy.
