The Municipality of Klos has started the round of public hearings with the residents by presenting the majority draft for the new administrative-territorial reform that foresees the merger of this municipality with that of Mati. The residents of the Xibër Administrative Unit opposed the merger with Mati with the argument that services would be removed. They stated that to receive a service in Burrel, the residents of the village of Ketë or other villages will have higher economic costs and will spend more time.
Other residents stated that with the opening of the Arbri road, the Municipality of Klos has great potential for economic development, so it should continue to be a separate unit of local government.
Public hearings will be held in all four Administrative units of the Municipality of Klos and at the end the Municipality will take an official position regarding the proposal for territorial reform.
