The historic goal also made Yamal the youngest player to reach 50 goals in Europe's top five leagues, surpassing the previous records set by Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland. According to Opta, Yamal is the youngest player from any club in Europe's top leagues to reach this milestone, at least since the 2014/15 season.
Barcelona maintained their perfect start to the 2026/27 La Liga season with a 5-2 win over Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou. Rayo surprised the home side in the 12th minute when Sergio Camello finished off a pass from Alvaro Garcia, but Barcelona quickly turned the game around.
