Areas affected/ Half of Tirana remains without water due to a defect

The Tirana Water Supply and Sewerage Directorate has announced that due to a serious defect in the transmission line that supplies the city's western warehouses, there will be a temporary interruption of water supply in several areas of the capital.

The areas that will suffer from a lack of drinking water are Selita, Kodra e Diellit, Astir, Yzberisht, Pallateve Çabej, Kodër Kamza and Fusha e Misto Mame.

The water utility has also announced that UKT teams are on the ground and are working to repair the defect as soon as possible, with the aim of restoring drinking water as soon as possible to areas of the capital where there is currently a shortage.
