
The fire on Mount Tërbun in Puka has been going on for five days, causing extensive damage to the pine forested area. According to residents, over 60% of the area has been burned by the flames, while the situation remains worrying. Residents have requested aerial intervention by helicopter since September 6 to help isolate and extinguish the fire.
Firefighters from Puka and Vau i Dejës are working on the ground, trying to isolate the flames and prevent the fire from spreading further. Meanwhile, residents are also raising concerns about air pollution, as thick clouds of smoke have covered Puka and the surrounding villages. It is initially suspected that the fire on Mount Tërbun may have been started intentionally.
