Diaspora lands in Tirana for the 105th protest, Albanians have been traveling to

The anti-government protest enters its 105th day today, this time with the participation of Albanians from the diaspora. Groups from England and European Union countries are arriving in Tirana to join the rally. For three days, they have been traveling to Albania in a convoy of vehicles. Red and black flags, national symbols and political slogans have accompanied their journey. The participants say they are coming to Tirana to demand political change and the removal of the current government. According to them, the greatest difficulties during the journey have been encountered at the border with Montenegro.

This is not the first time that the diaspora has joined the protest. Even during previous rallies, Albanians living abroad have participated in mobilizations in the capital. The protest began in Zvërnec, after a clash between residents and private guards during the opposition to the fencing of the area. Later, the rallies moved to Tirana. For more than three months, citizens have gathered every day against the government. The resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the removal of the government remain the main demands.
