Three people have been arrested in Patos, suspected of being the perpetrators of several apartment burglaries in the area.
The arrested are suspected of being involved in other theft cases in the Fier and Gjirokastër districts.
As part of an operation conducted by the services of the Fier Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the "Eagle" Special Force, citizens F. Gj., 43 years old, resident of Gjirokastër; DA, 31 years old, resident of Gjirokastër; and II, 41 years old, resident of Tepelena, were arrested.
The three suspects were arrested in the center of Patos, while driving a vehicle. During the physical search, the police found a quantity of suspected cannabis sativa narcotic substance on citizen F. Gj., which was seized as material evidence.
The search continued at the apartment of citizen DA, where the Police services found and seized another quantity of suspected narcotics, cannabis sativa.
From the investigations conducted so far, it is suspected that the three individuals committed two house robberies on August 5 and 6, in the “1 Maji” neighborhood and in the village of Dukas in Patos. According to the Police, gold jewelry, 3,500 euros and two mobile phones were taken in these cases.
Meanwhile, on September 9, the three are suspected of attempting to rob two more apartments in the village of Zharrëz, Patos.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, for the criminal offenses of "Theft" and "Production and sale of narcotics".
