The impasse in the High Prosecutorial Council regarding the competition process for Prosecutor General continues. Another candidate has requested the resignation of a member of the KLP from this process. According to sources, candidate Arta Marku, who for the second time expresses her desire to compete for the position of Prosecutor General, has requested the resignation of KLP member Sokol Stojani.
Prosecutor Marku's reasoning is that there is a conflict of interest and that, according to her, Stojani will not evaluate her name in the race without emotions, since when she was the Acting Prosecutor General, she removed Mr. Sokol Stojani from the position of director of investigation at that time. Earlier, other resignations of members were also requested by the members of the KLP themselves, turning the process into a parody, since, while the deadlines for sending the candidate forms to the HIDAKKI have passed, the Council has still not resolved its internal problems.
