The person in the photo is the 41-year-old Albanian, who made a spectacular escape during his transfer from Serres prison to the hospital.
According to information published by Greek media, the incident occurred at around 11:30 p.m., where the transport vehicle was located outside the hospital, near the psychiatric ward. The prisoner and two employees accompanying him were in the vehicle.
At that moment, two cars, similar to police vehicles, appeared near the vehicle. The people in them approached the vehicle and, at gunpoint, neutralized the two escorts.
The perpetrators then helped the prisoner escape. According to information, they also took the service weapon of a prison employee. After that, the group left in two vehicles and lost track.
The fugitive is a 41-year-old Albanian citizen, who, according to Greek media, was arrested last year by Organized Crime structures in a case related to an attempted murder in Thessaloniki.
The incident took place at a food kiosk. He is also suspected of involvement in weapons and drug trafficking cases.
