The German Industry and Commerce Association in Albania (DIHA) has expressed concerns about the Fiscal Package 2027, warning that the increase in business and consumption taxes could negatively affect foreign investment, the competitiveness of the economy and the creation of new jobs. DIHA calls for the review of several measures, full consultation with business and a transitional period for the implementation of fiscal changes.
In a public statement dated November 5, 2026, DIHA, which represents the interests of German investors and member companies in Albania, emphasizes that the stability and predictability of tax policies are among the main factors influencing long-term investment decisions. According to the association, the 2027 Fiscal Package contains some positive measures for families and employees, but part of the relief is financed by increasing the tax burden on businesses, creating risks for economic activity and attracting new investments.
