
A fire broke out this afternoon in the Uji i Ftohtë area of Vlora, near the “New York” hotel. The flames engulfed an area of pine trees, and two fire engines arrived at the scene. After the intervention, the fire was brought under control and extinguished.
According to preliminary data, the cause is subsoil humus, which continues to burn in some spots and the wind may favor the reactivation of the flames. Firefighters are monitoring the area to avoid a new outbreak.
