The Kremlin has refused to comment on Ukraine's expectations for a new round of talks in September, with the participation of the United States.
Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov said he had seen media reports about the proposal but could not provide concrete details.
His reaction comes after the head of the Ukrainian president's office, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that Ukrainian, Russian and American representatives could meet next month.
Ushakov did not confirm whether Moscow is willing to participate in such a meeting, leaving it unclear whether the trilateral talks could resume in September.
The last round of trilateral talks between Russia and Ukraine, with the participation of American representatives, took place in February.
Since then, Russian and Ukrainian representatives have held only separate meetings with the American delegation, while diplomatic efforts for a peace agreement have remained stalled.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side has expressed hope for the resumption of negotiations in September, considering US participation important for the process.
However, there has been no confirmation from Moscow so far about a new trilateral meeting.
