The Disciplinary and Ethics Commission of the Albanian Football Association (AFHA) has published its decisions dated 30 October 2026, imposing a series of punitive measures on the clubs, players and officials involved in the recent incidents. The most severe individual punishment is that against Dinamo City coach Ilir Daja, who has been suspended for five matches.
The Disciplinary and Ethics Commission of the Albanian Football Federation has made public the next decisions, focusing on unsportsmanlike behavior towards match officials, incidents caused by spectators and non-implementation of decisions by sports justice bodies.
The measures taken affect some of the most well-known names and clubs in Albanian football. Dinamo City is one of the teams with the most punished representatives, while AF Elbasani and Tirana have also faced disciplinary and financial measures.
Ilir Daja is sentenced to five matches suspension
The decision that attracts the most attention is the one against Dinamo City official Ilir Daja. The Commission has decided to suspend him for five matches from activities, for violating the basic rules of good conduct and unsportsmanlike conduct towards match officials. Based on articles 13/2 and 14/1/j of the Code of Discipline and Ethics, the measure against Daja is the highest among the individual suspensions announced in this decision.
But the punishment is not limited to the coach. Another Dinamo City official, Mark Dodaj, has also been suspended for four matches for unsportsmanlike conduct towards match officials. Thus, the capital club faces two important disciplinary measures, which directly affect its representatives during football activity.
Elbasan is fined and Memetaj is suspended for four matches
There are also disciplinary measures for AF Elbasan. The club has been fined 50 thousand lek for the incorrect behavior of the spectators, specifically for throwing objects on the playing field. The Commission has based the decision on article 17/2/b of the Code of Discipline and Ethics, considering the club's responsibility as part of the measures for maintaining order and proper behavior during matches.
Meanwhile, another punishment is directed at AF Elbasan official, Armand Memetaj. For unsportsmanlike behavior towards match officials, he has been suspended for four matches, based on article 14/1/j of the KDE. So, for the Elbasan club, the decision contains two separate measures: a financial fine for the behavior of the fans and a suspension for its representative.
Tirana is also affected by disciplinary decisions
The list of punished individuals also includes Tirana's footballer, Owono Nchama Basilio Ndong. He has been sentenced to a two-match suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct towards players of the opposing team. The measure was taken based on article 14/1/b of the Code of Discipline and Ethics.
But for the white and blue club there is another development, this time in the financial and administrative aspect. The Commission has accepted the request of Qendrim Ismail regarding the non-implementation of decision no. 8, dated April 2, 2026, of the National Chamber for Dispute Resolution. For this reason, KF Tirana has received a 30-day notice period to execute the decision in question, in accordance with article 29/1/b of the KDE.
Disciplinary decisions, a signal for clubs and officials
Decision No. 14 of October 30, 2026 brings a series of penalties that affect several levels of Albanian football, from the behavior of fans in stadiums to the individual responsibility of coaches, officials and players. The main attention goes to the five-match suspension of Ilir Daja, but also to the doubling of measures against Dinamo and Elbasan, as well as the 30-day warning to Tirana for the execution of a previous decision.
In this way, the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee recalls the importance of respecting the rules of the competition and the decisions of sports institutions, in a championship where, in addition to results on the field, behavior and disciplinary responsibility remain an important part of the activity.
