Milan and Inter unveil "Generali Stadium": it will have 71,500 seats,

AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano have today unveiled the “Generali Stadium”, their future home: a new stadium, conceived to convey the spirit of San Siro in a new era and to become a new landmark for Milan. More than just a football stadium, the project represents a long-term investment in the future of two of the most historic clubs in world football, a new home for generations of fans and a destination designed to contribute to the cultural, economic and urban development of the city. It is a stadium designed to honour the heritage of San Siro and, at the same time, to create a world-class experience for the future of football.

The project stems from a long-term vision, shared between the clubs and their respective owners, RedBird Capital Partners and Oaktree, part of Brookfield’s lending platform. It represents a strategic investment in the future of both organizations: it creates the necessary infrastructure to support sustainable sporting results, open up new growth opportunities and strengthen the capacity to compete and win at the highest international levels. At the same time, the project reflects a broader ambition: to contribute to the modernisation of Italian football and consolidate Milan’s position as one of the most dynamic, innovative and globally recognised European cities.

The architectural vision bears the signature of Foster + Partners and MANICA, led by Lord Norman Foster, one of the most authoritative names in contemporary architecture, and David Manica, an international reference in the design of advanced stadiums. Linked by a collaboration dating back to the project of the new Wembley Stadium in London, they combine architectural excellence with expertise in stadium design, to create a destination rooted in the identity of Milan and strongly oriented towards the future.

GENERALI, THE PARTNER OF THE NAME FROM DAY ONE

The new stadium will bear the name “Generali”, through one of the largest stadium naming rights deals in world sport. Partner since day one, Generali – leader in Italy and one of the largest insurance and asset management groups in the world – shares with the clubs a long-term commitment to Milan and the ambition to contribute to shaping its future, strengthening the city’s position on the global stage and creating a lasting legacy for generations to come. In addition to the naming rights, Generali will also be the official insurance partner for both clubs, becoming part of the shared moments, emotions and experiences that will bring the stadium to life.
