With 10 players, Dinamo draws Tirana: tension and four red cards, Daja is also

Tirana and Dinamo part ways peacefully, but “Niko Dovana” returns to the arena of red cards. The white and blues draw 1-1 in Durrës, in a tense challenge that produced exclusions, numerous protests against the refereeing and a dramatic end. Xhixha gave Tirana the lead, Hoxhallari restored the balance, even though Dinamo was playing with 10 men. In the end, Ndong equalized the balance on the field, being punished with a red card as well.

A derby that lost its composure in the first half

Tirana and Dinamo did not go beyond a 1-1 draw in the match valid for the ninth week of the Abyssnet Superiore, held at the “Niko Dovana” stadium in Durrës. But the result was only part of the story of a derby that was characterized by tension, disagreements over referee decisions and a high number of sending-offs.

The match started with pace and rivalry, but the balance on the field was broken in the 27th minute, when Oresti Rifa was sent off. The decision caused strong reactions in the Dynamo camp, which opposed the way the match was being conducted by referee Enea Jorgji.

The situation escalated even further near the Dinamo bench. Coach Ilir Daja, unhappy with the referee's decisions, was initially shown a yellow card. Protests continued and the referee decided to show him a second yellow card, sending him off the bench in the 40th minute.

Daja's departure was not without incident. As he was leaving the bench area, the Dynamo coach got into a tense moment with the fourth official, while the intervention of security forces helped to avoid escalating the situation. Dinamo's athletic trainer, Dodaj, was also sent off in the first half.

Thus, Ilir Daja's team closed the first half in difficult conditions, with one less player on the field and without their coach on the bench. However, the score remained 0-0, leaving everything open for the second 45 minutes.

Xhixha gives Tirana the advantage, but Dinamo does not give up

After the break, Tirana sought to exploit their numerical superiority to take control of the game and find the goal. The white and blues managed to unblock the score in the 64th minute, when Redon Xhixha sent the ball into the net, giving his team a 1-0 advantage. At that moment, Tirana seemed to have created the conditions to manage the rest of the match. Dinamo, however, showed that they had no intention of giving up on the derby, despite the difficulties created by the sending-offs and the numerical disadvantage.

In the 78th minute, Hoxhallari scored the equalizer, restoring the balance in the score and completely reopening the match. Dinamo's goal changed the dynamics of the last minutes, as the white and blues lost the advantage they had secured with Xhixha. The equalizer was an indicator of Dinamo's resistance, which, even in a match made difficult by red cards and tension, managed to get back into the game and not leave Durrës empty-handed.

The end reserves more controversy and another red card

When it seemed that the two teams would share the points without any further changes in the score, the final minutes brought new episodes that increased the nervousness on the pitch. Tirana claimed to have found the goal, but the white and blues' goal was not accepted, opening another moment of discussion in a match that until then had been characterized by contested decisions and constant protests.

The situation became even more difficult for the white and blue team, after Basilio Ndong was punished with a red card. Thus, Tirana finished the derby with one less player, in a closing that confirmed that the tension was not limited to the first half. Dinamo also had the opportunity to completely overturn the result, after hitting the post at the end of the match. However, the ball did not end up in the net and the figures remained 1-1.

A draw in the result, but not in the controversy

The derby held in Durrës produced two goals, but much more than that: sending-offs, opposition to the refereeing, tense episodes near the bench and an end with claims about Tirana's disallowed goal.

For Dinamo, the draw was valuable because of the way the team reacted after the goal and managed to get back into the game, despite the difficulties. For Tirana, meanwhile, the disappointment of losing the advantage and not being able to use the numerical superiority in the result remains.

In the end, the capital's derby ended without a winner, but with many issues to discuss. The 1-1 score divided the points between the two rivals, while the numerous episodes of the match are expected to keep the debates alive even after the final whistle.
