Skënderbeu and Laçi failed to come out on top in their clash, ending in a 1-1 draw in Korça, in the ninth week of the Abyssnet Superiore. A match with two different scenes, where the home team had the lead in the first half, while the team from Korça reacted after the break and managed to get back into the game.
The result was determined by goals from Lagonidis and Traore, while the points gap keeps the gap between the two teams in the standings narrow. For Laçi, this draw is also valuable for the fact that it was achieved on the road against a direct rival.
Lagonidis rewards Skanderbeg's initiative
The Korça team, led by Juljan Ahmataj, started the match with more initiative, seeking to exploit the field factor to take control of the game. The pressure of the home team was concreted in the 27th minute, when Lagonidis found the way to the net and gave Skënderbeu the advantage.

The efforts of the Kurbinas team yielded results in the 66th minute, when Traore scored for 1-1, restoring balance to the scoreboard.
After this moment, Osman's black and whites had the opportunity to aim for the upset, showing that they were not satisfied with just one point. However, the result did not change and both teams were forced to settle for one point each.
The difference remains minimal in the rankings.
The draw in week eight does not bring major changes in the positions of the two teams, but confirms the close rivalry between them. Laçi is ranked fifth with 11 points, while Skënderbeu holds seventh place with 10 points.
Only one point separates the two teams, which makes every result important in the rest of the championship. Skënderbeu can rely on the performance of the first half, but will have to maintain the intensity after the break. On the other hand, Laçi will gain confidence from the reaction in the second half, when they managed to recover the disadvantage and create opportunities to demand more.
