According to a report by the radio network Radio Cope, Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono, before the announcement of Jesús de Miguel's death, had wished to privately apologize to the Tenerife striker's family.
"There is an extraordinary concern in Andorra. I have heard some players say that this is the most difficult thing they have ever experienced on a football pitch. You can imagine the state of Jesús Owono... Andorra insists that there was no bad intention, no desire to hurt. It is not at all pleasant for him to hear the Heliodoro stadium shouting 'murderer, murderer!'" reports Radio Cope.
According to the radio network, before news of De Miguel's death broke, the goalkeeper "was deeply shaken by the situation." Meanwhile, rumors about the closure of Owono's personal Instagram account, which was still active on the morning of November 3, have not been confirmed.
