Jesús de Miguel did not make it. At the age of just 30, the Tenerife striker died as a result of a violent collision with Andorran goalkeeper Owono. Unfortunately, the hopes for De Miguel's possible recovery were very slim after the cardiac arrest that lasted several minutes. The footballer immediately received first aid on the field and regained his heartbeat only in the ambulance, after cardiopulmonary resuscitation was successful. However, it seems that, despite having resumed breathing independently, the striker did not manage to recover, remaining in a stable but extremely serious condition. The reference to neurological injuries confirmed the possibility of an irreversible situation, which ended in the worst possible way, with his death.

We, as CD Tenerife, announce the tragic passing, which occurred this Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 08:00, of Jesús de Miguel Alameda. We are close to his devastated family, loved ones and all the Tenerife fans, who today mourn this cruel end.
