The wait is over: the Champions League is also ready to start the new 2026/27 season. The draw held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco determined the matches of the unique supergroup, a confirmed formula that will have 36 teams at the start. Inter will face Liverpool and Real Madrid, who will also be opponents of Roma, while Napoli will have the English test with Arsenal and Manchester City. An extremely difficult draw for Cesc Fabregas' Como, who in their first participation will face PSG, Barcelona and Manchester United.

Champions League regulations
Each team will play a total of 8 matches in the first phase, facing two opponents from each of the four pots (one home and one away). To maintain the balance of the competition, the main restrictions remain in place: there will be no matches between teams from the same country and each club can face a maximum of two opponents coming from the same national association.
What's new in this edition
A curiosity is related to the matches that have taken place in recent editions. According to UEFA regulations, it is not possible for the same match to take place for three consecutive seasons. In the unique supergroup, therefore, there will not be another Inter-Arsenal at San Siro, although the match could be repeated in London, nor another Liverpool-Real Madrid at Anfield.
