
The intervention to completely extinguish the fire that has engulfed the villages of Kalivaç and Zimaj, in the Ungrej Administrative Unit, Lezha Municipality, continues. According to preliminary information, the flames are thought to have burned around 200 hectares of land in both villages. Meanwhile, the damage caused by the fire is being assessed by the Civil Emergency Forces of the Lezha Municipality.
Dozens of forces and vehicles have been engaged in the firefighting operation, specifically:
2 firefighting vehicles of the Municipality of Lezha, with 12 forces;
21 firefighting forces of the Ministry of Defense, with 3 firefighting vehicles;
90 Armed Forces personnel;
8 forestry service employees;
6 forces of the Administrative Unit;
3 Civil Emergencies forces of the Municipality;
12 volunteer forces. The forces on the ground continue to work to localize and completely extinguish the fire, while in parallel work is being done to assess the damage caused.
