New details have emerged from the incident that occurred on August 7, 2026 in the premises of sector "C" in detention center no. 313 in Tirana, where the hired killer, Nuredin Dumani, hit the employee of the Witness Protection Directorate, Rexhep Sinaj, with a bucket of water and punched him.
According to the testimony of police officer Rexhep Sinaj, on the morning of August 7, he was entering sector "C" of the second floor on duty, where work was scheduled by the Witness Protection Directorate.
"...I was holding a bag of food in my hands and, as I was climbing the stairs to the second floor, Nuredin Dumani came out into the hallway and hit me with a bucket of water, soaking me all over. At that moment, the food also fell from my hands. Meanwhile, Dumani also punched me, breaking my nose..." - testified police officer Rexhep Sinaj.
It is learned that, after the incident, Sinaj underwent a forensic examination at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Tirana.
The police officer, originally from Tepelena, has indicated that during his service, from time to time he has seriously insulted Nuredin Dumani regarding his family and personality, but he has never retaliated and has never insulted him.
According to him, after the beating, Nuredin Dumani fled towards room no. 1, located on the second floor in sector "C", and that the entire incident was filmed by the prison's internal security cameras and was seen by two police officers, Edmond Gjiriti and Kujtim Balliu.
It is learned that both of these police officers were questioned by the Prison Police and testified to the situation that occurred on August 7, 2026, between the detainee Dumani and the Witness Protection Directorate officer.
Nuredin Dumani was not questioned about this incident.
In parallel with their questioning, the Prison Police also obtained security cameras, which clearly show Nuredin Dumani, wearing only shorts and a shaved head, throwing a bucket of water at police officer Rexhep Sinaj.
The stairs and the corridor are wet with water and food is scattered in the corridor. After this, two police officers are seen, as well as several other detainees, where, after the situation calms down, they leave and the doors of sector "C" on the second floor are closed.
The case shows that Nuredin Dumani, although arrested since March 29, 2022, has gone beyond any rules and institutional control, showing no remorse for the murders committed.
This is not the only incident that the SPAK collaborator, in several criminal files, has committed against the officers of the Witness Protection Directorate. Previously, Nuredin Dumani has also physically abused another SPAK convict, Amarildo Nikolli.
From time to time, Witness Protection officers are used by SPAK convicts to buy cigarettes and various food items at markets near Prison No. 313 in Tirana.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, the SPAK Special Prosecution continues to hold Nuredin Dumani as the main witness in the "Golden Bullet" file, in the criminal file against "Visit i Pojës" and members of his group, in the file against Suel Çela, in the file against Behar Bajri and members of his group, in the file against the "Çopja" brothers, in the file on the trafficking of pistols from Kosovo to Albania, in the file against Bujar Gërmiz and other members, and in a file of two people considered "strong" in Fier and Durrës.
Meanwhile, in parallel with the status of SPAK collaborator, Nuredin Dumani has been named a defendant and risks a life sentence in the "Golden Bullet" case and the case of the "strongman" of Shkodra, Behar Bajri.
Nuredin Dumani is officially accused by SPAK of 8 murders, several attempted murders, several providing the conditions to commit murders, several robberies with violence and weapons, and a structured criminal group.
The incident with the police officer in prison comes at a time when SPAK is in the final phase of the criminal file "Golden Bullet", where the reading of the plea is already expected, in which the prosecution will request from the court the punishment measures for each of the defendants of proceeding no. 75. / SYRI.net
