Actor and activist Florjan Binaj spoke about his political commitment and the possibility of running in the upcoming elections, during an interview this Saturday on Euronews Albania.
Asked whether, in the worst case, he will be an independent candidate who will fight this battle alone, while in the best case scenario, part of a united opposition front, Binaj answered briefly: "Yes."
The journalist insisted on understanding what his conviction is based on and what drives him to think about such a commitment.
Binaj said that the decision is related to the belief that this is a contribution that should be made by anyone who thinks they can influence the improvement of society.
"Where it's eaten leads me to think that this is the right thing to do, not just me, but anyone who has a contribution to society," he said.
The actor added that commitment should not remain only in the virtual space, but should be accompanied by concrete action.
"Anyone who thinks that 'enough is enough', anyone who thinks that this city can improve, just like any city, and it can improve not through the algorithm, it can improve not through likes, it can improve not through the comments 'Bravo boss, star boss, how beautiful boss' of posts, but as much as we will catch and as much as we will post", declared Binaj.
Binaj further states clearly that with or without the opposition's support, he will be one of Tirana's candidates for mayor.
