The Fier Regional Police Department, immediately after the appearance of several fires in several villages in the Fier district, organized the work to identify and capture the perpetrators.
As a result of the rapid action taken in connection with the fire that broke out on a plot of land in the village of Daullas, the Police services have caught and arrested in the act, near the source of the fire, citizen AG, 50 years old, who had started a fire on the land he owned, with the aim of burning bushes. As a result of the spread of the flames, the fire has gotten out of control, encompassing large areas of vegetation.
Also, in the village of Kreshpan, the Police services have identified and arrested citizen QY near a fire, on land owned by him.
This citizen stated that he had lit a fire to burn waste, but as a result of the strong wind, the flames spread and got out of control, endangering several homes, and a large area of vegetation was engulfed in flames. Due to his age, citizen QY was prosecuted.
The procedural materials for both cases were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, for further action for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property by fire".
