The White House has stated that Iran is continuing to communicate intensively with the United States and expresses a strong desire to reach an agreement, as it is suffering "devastating blows" from American military actions.
During a press conference held on Thursday, White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said that Tehran is very active in dialogue with Washington.
"Iran continues to talk a lot to the United States and say it wants to make a deal with us because it is suffering devastating blows from our American military," Leavitt said.
The statement comes in a context of high tensions between the two countries, where the United States has exerted heavy military and economic pressure on Iran.
According to American officials, these pressures have forced Iran to sit at the negotiating table with the aim of a diplomatic solution.
