A new debate over the mystery of UFOs has been sparked by statements by NASA administrator Jared Isaacman, who claimed that the space agency has captured images of objects that cannot be explained as natural phenomena known to date.
In a podcast interview, the NASA administrator said that there are data from observations that remain unexplained, without however claiming that they are proof of an extraterrestrial presence.
"We have images, and this is something that President Trump is very progressive about. Based on the data that we have from these images, we don't know what they are," he said. Isaacman added that he thinks it's possible for humanity to conclude that life in the Universe is much more common than we currently believe.
"There is a very real possibility that we will come to the conclusion, in our lifetime, that maybe there is life everywhere and that it is not as rare as we think," he said.
Despite his statements about unexplained phenomena, the head of NASA clarified that he has seen no evidence proving that the US government possesses debris from alien ships or biological samples from aliens.
NASA has repeatedly said that there is no evidence of extraterrestrial life, while both the White House and the Pentagon have claimed that they have no confirmed physical evidence of aliens visiting Earth.
However, Isaacman noted that the answer to the existence of life may already be found in the samples left on Mars.
"We have samples on Mars now. If we bring them back, there's a very high probability that they will show at least microbial life on Mars at some point," he said.
NASA's Perseverance rover has collected samples from the surface of the Red Planet that scientists believe may contain clues to Mars' ancient history and possible microbial life in the past.
However, the mission to return the samples to Earth has faced significant challenges due to high costs and funding problems.
The NASA chief's comments come amid political pressure for greater transparency around UFO data, with President Donald Trump demanding the release of thousands of pages of documents, photographs and recordings.
Despite the publication of thousands of pages of files, photographs and recordings, to date no official evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial life has been presented.
Jared Isaacman, an entrepreneur, pilot and civilian astronaut who flew into space with SpaceX, took over as NASA administrator with the primary goal of strengthening the American presence on the Moon and preparing for future manned missions to Mars.
He stressed that the search for life is one of the agency's main goals. ©LAPSI.al
