The protest near the Ministry of Education has become tense again, as some protesters have thrown stones, Molotov cocktails and pyrotechnic devices at the police and the ministry building. Some of them have also torn tiles from the sidewalk, which they have then thrown at the officers and the water truck.
Police responded with water cannon and tear gas, while another police car was placed on standby in the area.
Through loudspeakers, law enforcement called on citizens to distance themselves from acts of violence and to continue the protest peacefully. They also tried to intimidate masked protesters by telling them that they had been identified and would be arrested.
The student rally began near the Ministry of Education, while protesters from the Democratic Party, who initially gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office, then marched towards the area to join the protest.
